A comfortable week has ended at the exposition of St. Petersburg at the exhibition "Russia"

On March 18, the St. Petersburg Comfortable Week ended at the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia", which was prepared and conducted by four committees: on investment, on construction, on social policy, on interethnic relations and the implementation of migration policy in St. Petersburg. This season, more than 185840 visitors visited the stand of the city.

Starting on March 13, the thematic season presented the main achievements of St. Petersburg in improving the quality of the urban environment and creating comfortable conditions for life, work, recreation, and parenting. As part of the exhibition, large-scale infrastructure projects of St. Petersburg over the past 20 years were shown.

During all the days of the Comfortable Week, the guests of the stand could take a video tour of the most striking objects of the Northern capital. The colorful video series allowed you to immerse yourself in the history of the creation of iconic places, including the Western High-Speed Diameter highway, the Island of Forts Museum and Historical Park, the Chizhik tram network, the SKA Arena sports and leisure complex, New Holland Island, the Baltic Pearl multifunctional complex, the Center proton radiation therapy of the Medical Institute named after Sergey Berezin (MIBS) and many others.

Large—scale projects that are currently being actively worked on in St. Petersburg were also presented - the Kupchino-Shushary-Slavyanka tram network, the Latitudinal Highway of High-speed Traffic, the ITMO Highpark scientific, educational and innovation center. Visitors were greatly interested in the layout of the Gorskaya tourist cluster, one of 10 all-season Russian resorts, which is being created in St. Petersburg on behalf of the President within the framework of the federal program "Five Seas".

In the thematic multimedia on the stand screens, special emphasis was placed on the development of an accessible environment for people with disabilities in St. Petersburg. The guests learned about the services operating in the city that increase the comfort of life for the disabled and other low-mobility groups of the population, the system for ensuring passenger mobility at metro stations, as well as the advantages of an electronic migrant worker card and other projects in the social sphere.

On the day of the grand opening of the season, Elena Lozko, President of the Wheelchair Sports Dancing Federation, Honored Coach of Russia, senior coach of the Russian National Wheelchair Dancing Team, told how an accessible environment is developing in St. Petersburg on behalf of Governor Alexander Beglov.

Within the framework of the exhibition, educational games "Learning sign language" and "Guess the secret" were organized, emphasizing concern for creating an inclusive society and helping to build the most careful communication. By completing the tasks, the participants were able to touch the world of people with hearing and vision problems, and at the end of the games they received memos "Gesture Guide: how to communicate with deaf people correctly" and "What to do if: rules of behavior with visually impaired people."

A lot of intellectual and entertainment activities dedicated to the Year of the Family attracted people of all ages to the stand of St. Petersburg. The parents were deeply interested in mini-lectures and workshops on psychology. Creative workshops provided a wonderful opportunity for adults and children to create original and beautiful souvenirs together. The guests were happy and inspired to make book bookmarks, postcards according to their own design in the scrapbooking technique, bas-reliefs with views of St. Petersburg and dolls "Petersburg Angel".

The educational program of the week included lectures on "How to get a child out of gadgets", "How to help a child start talking", "Effective communication with a teenager", "Family traditions: pros and cons", as well as master classes "Family Wish Card", "Family constructor "Ladder-House" and "Art therapy drawing".

Teachers of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Psychology and Social Work Svetlana Maslennikova, Irina Sulima, Irina Vasilinyuk revealed issues related to building trusting relationships with children, the influence of family traditions on the upbringing and personality of a child, and the creation of a special spirit in the family.

An unforgettable immersion in the culture of St. Petersburg took place thanks to live communication with the architect, sculptor, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Vyacheslav Bukhaev - he spoke with special warmth about the history of the creation of his works, accompanying the presentation with photographs of monuments. The guests of the stand made a lot of discoveries, heard firsthand the true story of the sculpture "Major Kovalev's Nose" and learned how to make a wish from "Chizhik-Pyzhik" to make it come true.

The central event of the penultimate day of the season was the final drawing of an apartment for a large family. A total of 72 large families from different regions took part in the quiz. The winner was a family from the Moscow region, having received a certificate for a one-room apartment in one of the developer's projects in the Vsevolozhsky district.

A tour from the developer "Family Weekend in St. Petersburg" was also played at the stand, including a transfer, a cultural program and accommodation in a five-star hotel. The main prize was won by a resident of Moscow, valuable gifts were taken by each participant of the drawing.

The guests experienced great joy from meeting with Sergey Rogozhin, Honored Artist of Russia and a fan of St. Petersburg. The singer performed a well-known and beloved song by many, answered questions, held an autograph and photo session.

All days of the week, the St. Petersburg Investment Committee quiz involved visitors in the creation of large infrastructure facilities and the modern appearance of the city. The Construction Committee quiz allowed the participants to check and replenish their knowledge in the construction field in a fun manner.

The most prepared and resourceful received memorable gifts and prizes with the symbols of the Northern Capital. A total of 10,200 souvenirs were distributed, including gifts from developers and Pulkovo Airport, unique handmade souvenirs, hardcover books from the series about "Chizhika-Pyzhika", coloring cards, book bookmarks dedicated to three important family holidays - Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Grandparents' Day.

The quiz "Nationalities of Russia", prepared by the Committee on Interethnic Relations and the Implementation of Migration Policy in St. Petersburg, also aroused great interest. Visitors to the stand got acquainted with the images of unique porcelain figurines on a small screen and tried to guess which nationalities they represent. The originals of porcelain sculptures from the "Nationalities of Russia" series, created at the Imperial Porcelain Factory in 1907-1917, are presented in their fullest form in the collection of the State Hermitage Museum.

And, of course, throughout the week, visitors to the exhibition were happy to hug and take pictures with the Comfort Cat, a "mascot" inextricably linked with St. Petersburg.

A comfortable week allowed the guests of the stand not only to deepen their knowledge about the outstanding architectural, cultural, historical and modern sights of the city, but also to feel the unique atmosphere and hospitality of the city.

The stand of the Northern Capital is located at VDNH in Pavilion No. 75B and awaits its guests in the new season.
