An Orthodox chapel will be recreated in the Pushkin district.

At a working meeting between Governor Alexander Beglov and members of the city government, the targeted provision of a land plot for the construction of a religious rites facility to the Orthodox local religious organization Parish of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Alexandrovskaya in St. Petersburg was approved.
On a plot of 351 square meters, it is planned to recreate the Chapel of the Ascension of the Lord, which was built here in the 19th century, and dismantled in the middle of the last century.
"His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia thanked us for coordinating the construction of churches in St. Petersburg. We are receiving new applications from Orthodox organizations with a request to provide a site and approve a draft layout for the construction of temple complexes. On the eve of the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, which we will celebrate on May 29, we decided to revive the chapel in honor of this holiday in the village of Alexandrovskaya," said Alexander Beglov.
The construction of the chapel will be carried out at the expense of donations. The term of the lease agreement for the gratuitous use of the site is 120 months.
