    A new project in the field of "lean management" has been launched

    On October 16, 2025, the Investment Committee of St. Petersburg held a meeting on the launch of a new project "Optimizing the process of searching for information on vacant land plots according to specified parameters" within the framework of the Effective Region program.
    The event was attended by Valery Frunze, Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Investment Committee; Andrey Gorelik, Adviser to the Chairman of the Committee; Andrey Ivanov, Head of the Department for Long-term Development of the St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution "Investment Management"; Elena Korobko, Deputy Head of the Analytical Support Department of St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution "Investment Management"; Elena Korobko, Head of the Project Coordination and Support Department of the St. Petersburg Information and Communication Center.the Elizaveta Serba Analytical Center.
    The purpose of optimizing the process of searching for information about vacant land plots according to specified parameters is to speed up data acquisition and reduce the amount of manual information processing by employees of St. Petersburg GBU "Investment Management".
    According to the principles of "lean management", the target state of the information retrieval process has been determined. To achieve this, as part of the optimization, it is planned to create a database on vacant land plots and regulate the process of filling it with operational information, as well as systematize the accounting of data on vacant land plots for offering to investors. The project is scheduled to be completed by April 30, 2026.
    Also during the meeting, the results of the implementation of the project "Optimization of the process of inventory of property of the Investment Committee of St. Petersburg" were summed up. The implementation of this project has been recognized as successful. The meeting participants assessed the goals and results achieved: the process time and complexity were reduced by more than half, and the problems identified during the analysis of the current state of the process were eliminated. It was decided to carry out post-project monitoring based on the results of the project implementation.
    Since 2023, the St. Petersburg Investment Committee has been actively participating in the Efficient Region program, which is being implemented in St. Petersburg jointly with Rosatom State Corporation. The program is designed to increase the efficiency of government agencies through the use of "lean manufacturing" methods, which contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the presidential national project "Data Economics and Digital Transformation of the State."
