Applications for the honorary badge "Investor of the Year" are open.

On April 22, 2025, the acceptance of competitive applications for the award of the Government of St. Petersburg began.‑St. Petersburg — the honorary badge "Investor of the Year". The organizer of the competition is the Investment Committee of St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg.
Applications will be accepted until May 22, 2025 inclusive. Organizations that have completed the implementation of investment projects in St. Petersburg in 2023 and 2024 are invited to participate.
The best investment projects are selected according to the priority areas of social and economic development of St. Petersburg. In 2025, the honorary badge "Investor of the Year" will be awarded in nine nominations.:
• Industry or industrial infrastructure;
• Consumer market;
• transport infrastructure;
• Development of territories;
• Information technology, education and science;
• preservation of historical and cultural heritage sites; 
• Social sphere;
• Culture and tourism;
• Sports.
The nomination "For the implementation of the best investment project in the field of sports" is new - the corresponding decree was signed by the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, updating the list of areas for awarding the award. Also this year, changes were made to the names of the nominations "For the implementation of the best investment project in the field of information technology, education and science" and "For the implementation of the best investment project in the field of industry or industrial infrastructure".
The winners will be determined based on the decisions of the competition committee. One best investment project will be selected in each nomination. The criterion of improving the comfort and quality of the urban environment remains unchanged when evaluating projects.
To participate in the competition, you must send an application in paper or electronic form to the Investment Committee of St. Petersburg. The application form and detailed information about the selection criteria are available on the Investment Portal of St. Petersburg.
Summing up the results of the competition and the solemn ceremony of awarding the government award – the honorary badge "Investor of the Year" is scheduled for autumn 2025.
In recent years, the award has been awarded to such significant investment projects for St. Petersburg as the Western High-Speed Diameter, the Chizhik tram network, the first stage of the Pulkovo airport, the MIBS Proton Radiation Therapy Center, the Biocad complex, the adaptation of the historic building of the M. Wawelberg banking house to a five-star hotel, and the creation of a museum and historical park. "Island of Forts" and many others.
