    SPIEF-2025: A new plant for the production of double-layer sheet metal will be built in St. Petersburg

    On June 19, 2025, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an agreement of intent was signed between St. Petersburg and JSC Energometall to create a production of bimetallic sheets and plates.

    The agreement was signed by Nikolay Linchenko, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg, and Vladimir Vakin, CEO of Energometall JSC.
    The document provides for long-term cooperation between the parties in order to develop the production and industrial sectors of St. Petersburg. As part of the agreement, it is planned to implement an investment project on the territory of the Vyborg district of the city for the construction of a plant for the manufacture of bimetallic sheets, plates, and products, expanding production with a focus on the existing and promising industry.
    The aim of the project is to create an industrial complex and new jobs for the production and supply of special composite metal products and products for enterprises of energy, chemical and petrochemical engineering, shipbuilding, as well as electrical engineering. 
    The implementation of the project will contribute to the development of advanced industry and entrepreneurship, which corresponds to the program "10 priorities for the development of St. Petersburg."
    The products of Energometall JSC are used in almost all industries where the use of double-layer metal products with compromise properties is required, as well as welding adapters as part of equipment or its parts.: in shipbuilding, the oil and gas and chemical industries, energy engineering, electrical engineering and electrolysis, in the defense and space, as well as the transport and automotive industries. JSC Energometall maintains partnerships with scientific organizations, including in the framework of the development of new technical specifications, assignments, standards, and materials. The company uses various tools to promote its products, such as participation in exhibitions and conferences, conducting scientific research and publishing articles in scientific publications.
