SPIEF 2025: Sberbank of Russia to create digital tools for the Yuzhny satellite city

On June 18, 2025, at the stand of Sberbank of Russia within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an agreement of intent was signed between Sberbank of Russia and Yuzhny Satellite City LLC in the implementation of the Smart City and Smart Home concepts, as well as a digital transformation project aimed at introducing modern information infrastructure and optimizing business-processes using digital tools.
The document was signed by Dmitry Sukhoverkhov, Chairman of the North-Western Bank of Sberbank of Russia, and Sergey Khromov, CEO of Yuzhny Satellite City.
The investment project, in accordance with the signed agreement, provides for long-term cooperation between the parties in order to develop and implement energy-efficient solutions, use the latest technologies to ensure the comfort and safety of residents of the Yuzhny satellite city.
The Smart Home concept involves the design, development and installation of intelligent management systems for housing and office space, including to reduce the operating costs of maintaining real estate. The technologies relate to automation of lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water supply and security of premises.
The project is focused on creating a comfortable and modern environment that will ensure a high level and standard of urban life.
Yuzhny Satellite City is a strategic investment project of St. Petersburg and is on the shortlist of priority projects in Russia. The city-forming element of Yuzhny is the world-class scientific, educational and innovation center ITMO Highpark, which is being built in accordance with the instructions of the President of Russia to create a network of modern world-class campuses in the country.
