Major investment projects of St. Petersburg will be presented at the "Transport Week - 2025"

From November 15 to 20, Moscow will host Transport Week 2025, the main event of the year in the field of transport, logistics and infrastructure. The central event will be the XIX International Forum-Exhibition "Transport of Russia" from November 18 to 20 at the Gostiny Dvor exhibition complex.
Within the framework of the forum-exhibition, large-scale projects supported by the Investment Committee of St. Petersburg and included in the program "10 Priorities of socio-economic Development of St. Petersburg" will be presented on the video demonstration panel at the stand of the Directorate for the Development of the Transport System of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
In particular, the interactive presentation includes megaprojects of stages 2-4 of the Latitudinal High-speed Highway and the all-season seaside resort St. Petersburg Marina in Gorskaya, tram network projects along the route Kupchino metro station — Shushary settlement — MKRN. Slavyanka" and further – to the planned St. Petersburg State University campus and the innovative scientific and technological center "Nevsky Delta", as well as to the satellite city "Yuzhny".
Large-scale transport projects in St. Petersburg are being implemented in accordance with the General Development Plan of the city. So, along with the ring Road and the WSD, the WSD with the bridge over the Neva River will become one of the main links in the frame of high-speed and continuous traffic highways, providing direct communication between the eastern districts of the city with the center and the south, as well as with the north through the WSD. This will redirect transit traffic to expressways, minimizing the load on the road network.
Slavyanka trams will increase the transport accessibility of developing large residential areas and improve the quality of transport services for the population of the southern districts of St. Petersburg. The estimated waiting time for the tram at the final stops will be about five minutes, and the travel time from Kupchino metro station to Slavyanka will be reduced by almost half.
In the future, the creation of a tram line from Slavyanka is planned, which will connect such centers of attraction as the St. Petersburg State University campus "St. Petersburg State University Development Territory", the St. Petersburg State University Innovative Scientific and Technological center "Nevsky Delta", the transport hub of the Vitebsk railway, Tsarskoye Selo and Detskoselskaya stations, the National Center for Plant Genetic Resources, the RANEPA Lyceum. Experts and visitors to the exhibition and forum will also be able to get acquainted with another project for the development of the tram network in the southern districts of St. Petersburg, which will improve the transport accessibility of the Shushary metro station for residents of Kolpino. The relevant agreements of intent were signed at SPIEF 2025.
In addition to the opportunity to look into the future of the St. Petersburg transport system, the forum-exhibition will clearly demonstrate the prospects for the development of the new St. Petersburg Marina tourism cluster. An all-season resort within the framework of the federal project "Five Seas and Lake Baikal" is planned to be created on the shores of the Gulf of Finland by 2030.
The joint stand of the transport projects of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, number 2.7, is located along the central aisle of the exhibition complex. The stand's concept "From the Road of Life to the Roads of the Future" connects history and modernity through transport.
