The total number of rails in the Slavyanka project will exceed seven thousand.

The rail track of the Slavyanka tram line has already received visible outlines and continues to grow every day.

Currently, work on laying rails is underway on Starorussky Avenue and along Shusharskaya Road near the tram depot. It will take about 7.6 thousand rails to lay the entire track of the 21 km long tram line.

Work is also continuing on other sites. More than 400 workers and 75 pieces of construction equipment are currently employed in the construction of the new tram line.

As part of the first stage, a canopy for the Balkansky terminal is being built on Balkanskaya Square, and work continues on the reconstruction of engineering networks. Work on the sewerage of the Volkovka River and the construction of a tram bridge over it is in the final stages. Work is underway on the construction of the lower structure of the track and local sewage treatment plants in the area around the bridge.

The installation of rain and cable sewers on Vilerovsky Lane has been completed, the general contractor has begun to create the upper structure of the track and is preparing to install the contact network supports. On Novgorodsky Prospekt, from Starorussky Prospekt to Shusharskaya Road, the construction of the lower structure of the track has also begun, and work is underway to lay a cable sewer.

At the tram depot in Shushary, roofing and facade work has already been completed on all buildings, builders have begun installing engineering systems, finishing work has begun inside the buildings and landscaping is underway.

As part of the second stage, work continues on the overpasses through Vitebsk Avenue, the railway tracks of the Vitebsk direction of the Oktyabrskaya Railway and the Detskaya Railway.

It should be recalled that last year the installation of metal structures of the superstructure and concreting of the plate of the carriageway of the overpass through the railway tracks of the Vitebsk direction of the Oktyabrskaya Railway and Vitebsk Avenue were completed, as well as the extension of the Slavyanka tramway overpass through three transport infrastructures: Moskovskoe Highway, Oktyabrskaya Railway and Ring Road.
