Construction of the second and third launch complexes continues at the Skipper interchange of the ZSD

Since mid-2023, work has been continuing on Vasilyevsky Island on the construction of the second and third launch complexes of the Western High-Speed Diameter interchange (WSD), which include punching the Skipper Channel to alluvial areas in the southwestern part of the island, including the construction of a street in a new position on the site from Cash Street to the industrial development zone on the left bank of the Skipper the canal (including the Skipper's Bridge). In the second and third launch complexes, five exits of the ZSD transport interchange will be built with the connection of the street and road network, including the construction of a new bridge over the Skipper's Bayou, and the reconstruction of the existing intersection with Cash Street will also be carried out. Contractors are working on the construction of structural elements of the interchange in all formed sections. Recall that the Skipper's interchange is located at the intersection of the main course of the Western High-speed Diameter (Central section), with the projected continuation of the Skipper's Bayou street to the alluvial territories west of Vasilyevsky Island. The project is implemented in three stages. The opening of traffic on the first launch complex of the Skipper interchange, which provides connection of the alluvial territories of Vasilievsky Island to the ZSD, took place on December 20, 2023 with the participation of the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov. The first launch complex includes three exits with a total length of more than 2000 meters: ave.
