    A new location of the Island of Forts Park has opened in Kronstadt

    On July 28, the Day of the Russian Navy, the opening ceremony of the fourth stage of the park of the tourist and recreational cluster "Island of Forts" took place. The new space occupies 4 hectares and connects the main sites of the Museum and Historical Park and the Museum of Naval Glory.
    Like other locations, the fourth stage of the park is permeated with meanings related to the sea and the fleet. Six creative art objects have been created on its territory: "Interactive Sloop", "Waves of Chains", "Life of sailors", the composition "The Russian Eagle does not catch flies", the composition "Naval Aviation", "Icebreaker". All the objects are dedicated to the exploits of Russian sailors, personify the strength and spirit of the Russian navy.
    When creating a new space, comprehensive landscaping was carried out in compliance with the most progressive principles of landscape and architectural planning of the territory, recreation areas, sports grounds, and a walking alley were equipped.
    The project to create a thematic tourist and recreational cluster "Island of Forts" is being implemented on the territory of Kronstadt on behalf of the President of Russia. In 2025, it is planned to complete the restoration and adaptation to modern use of cultural heritage sites - forts: "Alexander the First", "Peter the Great" and "Kronshlot". At the same time, work is underway on the territory of Kronstadt to modernize and build engineering networks, street and road networks, embankments, create parking spaces and pedestrian zones. The total investment in the project is estimated at about 90.1 billion rubles.
