The Baltic Pearl Company has been operating in St. Petersburg for 20 years.

On March 22, 2005, a subsidiary of the Shanghai Overseas United Investment Company was founded in St. Petersburg, created by seven of China's largest corporations to implement a large-scale investment project in Russia for the integrated development of the territory.
The project for the construction of residential, social, and public-business facilities in the Primorsky southwestern part of St. Petersburg has received the status of a strategic investment project. During its successful implementation, 17 construction stages have been completed in the Krasnoselsky district, and a new multifunctional complex has been created for more than 35,000 people. The Baltiyskaya Zhemchuzhina microdistrict became the first large-scale project in St. Petersburg for the integrated development of territories in the southwest of the city.
Today, a space of increased comfort has been created on an area of 205 hectares – one of the most sought-after places to live in St. Petersburg. There are truly comfortable and well-maintained neighborhoods with all the necessary infrastructure of the most advanced quality. Of particular importance is the creation of social infrastructure by the investor — educational and healthcare facilities have been built to high standards. Among them is a semi-detached polyclinic for adults and children with an emergency department in a separate part of the building.
In 2023, the Baltic Pearl company received the honorary badge of the Government of St. Petersburg - the Investor of the Year award in the nomination "For the implementation of the best investment project in the social sphere."
It is no exaggeration to say that the Baltic Pearl investment project has given an impetus to the development of the entire Krasnoselsky district and increased the prestige of living in it. The implementation of a project of this scale once again proves the reliability of Chinese partners and the effectiveness of cooperation between the Government of St. Petersburg and foreign investors.
