The tram for the Slavyanka line became the winner of the national transport award

The tram model 71-932 Nevsky won in the nomination "The best innovative solution in the field of transport technology" of the XI National Award for achievements in the field of transport and transport infrastructure "Formula of movement".
The Nevsky tram is a three-section two-way carriage. One of the flagship products of domestic rail transport will be used on the Slavyanka line in St. Petersburg, which will connect the Kupchino metro station with the village of Shushary and the Slavyanka microdistrict.
The tram model has a capacity of up to 205 passengers. Aluminum alloys were used in the manufacture of the wagon to reduce the fire load. The car is equipped with a number of advanced systems, including multimedia information systems, an on-board control controller of the traffic safety system. The Nevsky automated tram traffic control system provides switch control and continuous monitoring of the actual speed and safe distance.
For the comfort of passengers, the spacious cabin with panoramic windows has a climate control system, USB sockets, and multimedia information systems. Due to the low floor, the tram can be used by passengers with limited mobility. The storage area can accommodate a baby stroller, and there is a special bracket for a bicycle. Heated areas are installed at the entrance doors so that there is no ice at the entrance to the salon in the cold season.
The interior and exterior of the tram are made in the corporate style of the Slavyanka line using turquoise, blue-green and orange colors.
The presentation of the pilot car for this project took place on September 1, 2024 at the Nevsky Pirotsky Electric Transport Plant with the participation of Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, Vitaly Savelyev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, and Roman Starovoit, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.
A total of 22 wagons will be produced in St. Petersburg as part of the project. The first 10 trams will enter the route immediately after the commissioning of the first section of the Slavyanka line.
    For reference:
