The Wawelberg Hotel has prepared festive events for St. Petersburg residents and guests for City Day and Children's Day

The Wawelberg Hotel is proud to continue the cultural tradition that began in 2024: on May 27, in honor of the Founding of St. Petersburg, opera will be performed on the hotel balcony again. The festive concert will be part of the Opera on the Balcony project, which has already become popular with the townspeople and guests of the city. The program will feature music about St. Petersburg and music by St. Petersburg composers, solo and duet performances — a real declaration of love for the city on the Neva in the language of art.
For the first time, Opera on the Balcony took place on May 24, 2024, and since then, every week on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Wawelberg Hotel invites citizens and guests to enjoy the live sound of opera voices in the heart of St. Petersburg.
St. Petersburg has always been associated with culture, beauty and inspiration. The project has become a landmark for the city, organically fitting into its cultural life. "Opera on the balcony" makes high art closer, more emotional and more accessible. The audience is not only the guests of the hotel, but also residents and tourists.
This year, the Wawelberg Hotel will once again congratulate the city with music - "Opera on the Balcony" will begin at 19:00, the address of the hotel is 7-9 Nevsky Prospekt.
On Children's Day, June 1, the Wawelberg Hotel will host a festive event for the youngest guests. From 15:00 to 17:00 at the fountain on the facade of the hotel, children and their parents will be greeted by the Lion Cub Vava, the official ambassador of the hotel's children's program. He will congratulate the children on the holiday, present balloons and cotton candy — a symbol of carefree childhood and summer.
The Wawelberg Hotel invites families to spend this day in a warm and festive atmosphere. The event is free of charge for everyone.
The Wawelberg Hotel is the newest of the five–star hotels in St. Petersburg, which appeared as a result of the restoration and adaptation to modern use of the historic building of the M. Wawelberg banking house. The early 20th century building on Nevsky Prospekt was handed over to an investor in 2011 for a comprehensive renovation. The investment project was successfully implemented in 2021, and the grand opening of the hotel was attended by the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov. The investor has carried out a unique work on the preservation and restoration of a cultural heritage site of federal significance. Architectural solutions of the early 20th century have been preserved both outside and inside the building.
