A new comprehensive school will be opened in the Moscow region

At a working meeting between the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, and members of the city government, the targeted provision of a land plot in the Moskovsky district on Georgiy Chernyshev St. for the construction of a preschool, primary and secondary general education facility was approved.
On a plot of more than 26,000 square meters, the investor will build a four-story school building with 1,375 seats.
"We have fulfilled our promise to St. Petersburg residents – we have eliminated the shortage of schools and kindergartens accumulated over the previous decades. Starting this year, we started building social facilities as planned. Last year, a record 57 kindergartens and 37 schools were introduced," the mayor said.
The governor also noted that the investor is creating a school in the Moskovsky district as part of fulfilling obligations to the city to provide the new residential area with the most important social infrastructure.
"We plan to continue building a significant proportion of social facilities in our metropolis at the expense of investors. For 2025, the target for us is the previously achieved volume of social infrastructure commissioning. In 2024, we provided 118 facilities for various purposes to the citizens from all sources of financing," said Alexander Beglov.
The construction period of the school will be 24 months from the date of the conclusion of the lease agreement on investment terms. The contract is valid for 36 months.
Upon completion of the construction, the investor will donate the school to the ownership of the city.
