Five schools built in St. Petersburg under concession agreements have received permits for commissioning
Investors have successfully completed the construction of five secondary schools in different districts of St. Petersburg. The facilities received a permit for commissioning on December 20, 2024 from the State Construction Supervision and Expertise Service of St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg.
The new schools, built under concession agreements, are state educational institutions equipped on a turnkey basis. These are a 550-seat school in Pushkin in the Gummolosary microdistrict, a 550–seat school in the Vyborgsky district on Engels Avenue, a 1,100–seat school in the Krasnoselsky district on Leninsky Prospekt and two 1,375–seat schools each in the Nevsky district on Oktyabrskaya Embankment and in the Vasileostrovsky district on the Sea Embankment.
The creation of educational facilities with the participation of investors in these densely populated and actively developing areas is aimed at resolving the shortage of educational places as soon as possible and improving the quality of the urban environment.
All five schools were built within the framework of the national project "Education" with co-financing from the federal budget under the state program "Development of Education". The equipment of schools meets modern federal state standards. In particular, comfortable classrooms, laboratory rooms, computer labs, workshops and technology rooms, medical facilities, recreation rooms for teachers and children, libraries, gyms have been created in the new buildings, as well as two swimming pools - large and small - in each school. The school grounds are equipped with playgrounds for sports and recreation of students.
The educational process in the new educational institutions will begin in 2025. Documentation is currently being prepared for the transfer of schools to the ownership of St. Petersburg.
The school construction projects were selected by the Competition Commission of the Russian Ministry of Education in March 2022. The volume of investments in five facilities amounted to about 12 billion rubles.
