    St. Petersburg participates in a training program for the effective implementation of investment projects

    On April 15, a new stage of the unique educational program "Managerial Skills: Developing Regional Teams", organized by the Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, started in Moscow.

    The program was developed on behalf of the President of Russia in order to create a comprehensive support system for new investment projects in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

    As part of the St. Petersburg team – Dmitry Kapitov, Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Investment Committee, Inga Dostal, Deputy Director for Investment Project Support of the Investment Management subordinate to the Investment Committee, representatives of the St. Petersburg State Order Committee, the Property Relations Committee, Gosstroynadzor, the Labor and Employment Committee, the Construction Committee, the Energy and Engineering Committee, The Project Office of the Administration of the Governor of St. Petersburg, as well as resource supply organizations and business associations of our city.

    Within the framework of the first module of the program, for three days, until March 18, teams from 45 regions of Russia will study issues of improving the quality of implementation of the Regional Investment Standard, participate in the development of a National Model of targeted business conditions, share experiences in developing the investment potential of territories, best practices for stimulating growth and attracting investment.

    Experts from the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and teachers from the RANEPA Higher School of Public Administration have prepared sessions and master classes aimed at improving managerial skills and financial competencies important for the successful implementation of investment projects. Among other things, the program will allow participants to improve their knowledge and competencies in preparing and justifying management decisions, and acquire the necessary skills to form key institutions for working with investors in the regions.

    The results of the regions' efforts to create favorable business conditions will be reflected in the National Rating of the Investment Climate, which will be presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

    It should be noted that thanks to the comprehensive investor support system operating in accordance with the Regional Investment Standard, the Northern Capital demonstrates stable growth in investments in fixed assets. According to Petrostat, in 2024 St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg attracted 1529.5 billion rubles of investments. This figure exceeded the level of 2023 by 10.5% and became a record.

    Investment projects in St. Petersburg are supported on the basis of a Single Window, which provides organizational and advisory assistance to businesses at all stages of the project.

    St. Petersburg has been participating in the Management Excellence: Developing Regional Teams program since its launch in 2022. In 2025, the educational process includes three modules, within which face-to-face sessions, regional forums, and distance learning processes are planned. It is planned that in 2025, more than 840 representatives of regional investment teams will be trained.
