    The Investment Committee of St. Petersburg is recognized as a local model of lean management

    The Investment Committee of St. Petersburg received the status of a local model of lean management within the framework of the Effective Region program. The decision was made based on the results of a partner quality control on July 9, 2026, during which experts assessed the implementation of lean management principles, the effectiveness of implemented projects and work to improve internal processes.
    The event was attended by Valery Frunze, Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Investment Committee, Andrey Gorelik, Adviser to the Chairman of the Committee, Elena Korobko, Deputy Head of the Analytical Support Department of St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution Investment Management, Alexey Rudnitsky, a leading specialist in the Investor Relations Department of St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution Investment Management, and Alexey Rudnitsky, Head of the Control Department of the St. Petersburg Tourism Development Committee.Alexey Lysenko, Head of the Department for Process Optimization and Innovative Technologies of the Committee on Industrial Policy, St. Petersburg, Elena Molyavko, Head of the Department for Improving the Efficiency of the Public and Municipal Management System of St. Petersburg State Institution "MFC" Elizaveta Serba, Head of the Process Management Implementation Department of St. Petersburg State Institution "MFC" Alyona Zhitnova.
    This status confirms the systematic work of the Investment Committee in the field of implementing the principles of lean management, developing a culture of continuous improvement and improving the quality of processes implemented in its activities.
    One of the key practices presented during the audit was a project to optimize the search process for vacant land plots according to specified parameters. The solutions implemented by the Investment Committee are aimed at improving the convenience and speed of working with investment sites, reducing labor costs and creating a more transparent mechanism for selecting sites for investors.
    In addition, on this day, within the framework of the Effective Region program, a new practice in the field of "lean management" was launched — "Optimization of the Treasury support process". The aim of the project is to increase the effectiveness of monitoring new information in the "Automated information System of the budget process – electronic Treasury" (AIS BP-EK).
    During the optimization, it is planned to fully automate the process of monitoring new information in the BP-EK AIS and increase the capacity of the project finance department of the Investment Committee. The project is scheduled to be completed by January 29, 2027.
    Since 2023, the St. Petersburg Investment Committee has been actively participating in the Efficient Region program, which is being implemented in St. Petersburg jointly with Rosatom State Corporation. The program is designed to increase the efficiency of public authorities through the use of "lean manufacturing" methods, which contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the national project "Data Economics and Digital Transformation of the State."
