SPIEF-2024: an agreement on the creation of the St. Petersburg Marina tourism cluster has been signed
On June 7, 2024, at the SPIEF site, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, an agreement of intent was signed on the creation of the St. Petersburg tourism cluster‑Petersburg Marina". The document was signed by the Governor of St. Petersburg‑Alexander Beglov, General Director of JSC "Corporation Tourism.Russian Federation" Sergey Sukhanov, First Vice President of Gazprombank Pavel Brousser, Commander of St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg regional sports public organization "Yacht Club of St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg" Vladimir Lyubomirov. The cluster is planned as part of the federal project to create year-round seaside resorts "Five Seas and Lake Baikal". According to the project concept, by 2030 it is planned to build sports and hotel infrastructure facilities, public and recreational spaces on the territory of the former Gorskaya industrial site, to equip the coastal strip of the Neva Bay of the Gulf of Finland, including embankments and a walking park area along the water. The construction of an all-season cluster will increase the tourist attractiveness of the Northern Capital and expand its new tourist geography. The future resort is designed to make a great contribution to achieving the goals of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry". The estimated tourist flow to Gorskaya will amount to 1.33 million people per year.
