SPIEF 2026: The investor will transfer plots for the construction of sports and cultural facilities in the northern part of the alluvial territories of Vasilyevsky Island

On June 5, 2026, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an agreement of intent was signed between St. Petersburg and Specialized Developer LLC LSR. Prostor" (part of the LSR Group construction holding) during the implementation of a project to develop sports facilities and cultural and leisure activities.
The document was signed by Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, and Andrey Molchanov, founder of the LSR Group construction holding.
The agreement provides for the creation of sports and cultural and leisure facilities in the northern part of the alluvial territory of the Nevsky Bay of Vasilyevsky Island, as well as the development of conditions for attracting additional investments into the economy of St. Petersburg.
"In recent years, the alluvium has become one of the most dynamically developing areas of Vasilyevsky Island and the entire city. The new quarters will become an example of how we want to see St. Petersburg, a future–oriented metropolis of the 21st century. It is important that the project pays special attention to social infrastructure facilities. They need to be introduced at a faster pace – before housing construction," Alexander Beglov emphasized.
The project is aimed at increasing the investment and tourist attractiveness of the Vasileostrovsky district of St. Petersburg, creating additional jobs, and developing modern leisure infrastructure.
