In St. Petersburg, the preparation of the territory for the construction of the CMMSD begins

JSC "ZSD" has completed the competitive procedures for the selection of general contractors for the preparation of the construction site for 2-4 stages of the Latitudinal High-speed Highway (LSD), the length of which will be 14.1 km.
Currently, the competition has identified a contractor that will soon begin the reconstruction of engineering communications and the liberation of territories in stages 2-4, including the dismantling of buildings and structures, as well as the inspection of land for the presence of explosive objects.
As part of the preparation of the territory, extensive infrastructure reconstruction is planned: more than 75 km of power lines, 14.8 km of water supply networks, 4.5 km of sewerage, 8.8 km of communication networks, 10.1 km of gas pipeline, as well as other communications. In addition, it is necessary to carry out work on the reconstruction of the infrastructure networks of Russian Railways during the implementation of the track development of the Volkovskaya transport hub.
It should be recalled that the construction of the Latitudinal High-speed Highway is a megaproject of St. Petersburg, implemented on behalf of the President of Russia as part of the development of the transport system of the St. Petersburg agglomeration. The CMMSD will pass through the Moskovsky, Frunzensky, Krasnogvardeysky and Nevsky districts of the city. According to the General Plan for the Development of St. Petersburg, the CMMSD, along with the Western High-speed Diameter and the Ring Road, will ensure the withdrawal of transit traffic flows from the city center. This will create a direct connection between the eastern regions and the center and the south, as well as improve transport links to the northern regions through the Western High-Speed Diameter.
