    Commercial premises and a mini-hotel will be located in building No. 5 of Apraksina Dvora after the restoration.

    Based on the work permit issued by the KGIOP and in accordance with the agreed project documentation, the investor, the Peter Holding group of companies, continues work on the repair, restoration and adaptation for modern use of the cultural heritage site — building No. 5 Apraksina Dvora.
    To date, work has been carried out to strengthen and waterproofing foundations, install floors and stairs. Work is underway to install the roof and repair the brickwork. Some of the facades have been cleared, cleaned and opened with previously laid historical window openings, and work is underway to restore the plaster finish.
    In the conditions of the carpentry workshop, work is carried out on the restoration of wooden window fillings with the restoration of lost products according to existing samples.
    The restoration is carried out with careful preservation of authentic elements based on methods agreed upon by the KGIOP, using high-quality domestic materials approved for use on cultural heritage sites.
    The restoration was preceded by a lot of preparatory work: historical and archival surveys and a technical survey were carried out.
    Upon completion of the work, according to the planning decisions, storage and retail premises will be located in the basement, on the first and second floors, and mini-hotel rooms will be located on the third and fourth floors.
    In parallel, work is underway at other facilities of Apraksin yard: the restoration and adaptation of buildings 37 and 38 for the shopping complex continues.
    In total, 68 buildings are located on the territory of Apraksin Dvor, 51 of which are objects of cultural heritage.
    The restoration of the Apraksin Courtyard is included in the priority project of St. Petersburg "Preservation of historical heritage and support of culture".
    The concept of restoration and development of Apraksina Dvor was developed by the Architectural Bureau Studio 44 and approved by the Urban Planning Council under the Government of St. Petersburg in 2017.
