SPIEF 2026: The investor is modernizing the infrastructure of the sanatorium "Sestroretsky resort"

On June 5, 2026, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an agreement of intent was signed between St. Petersburg and JSC Sanatorium Sestroretsky Resort for the implementation of a comprehensive investment project for the modern development of sanatorium and resort infrastructure in the Resort area of St. Petersburg.

The agreement was signed by Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, and Andrey Molchanov, founder of the LSR Group construction holding, which includes the Sestroretsky Resort sanatorium.

The document establishes long-term cooperation between the parties in order to cooperate in the healthcare sector of St. Petersburg, as well as create conditions for the modernization and development of the sanatorium "Sestroretsky resort".

"The renovation of the Sestroretsk Resort is a unique project. He renews the pre-revolutionary tradition of concerts on the shores of the Gulf of Finland and rethinks the Soviet practice of full-fledged sanatorium treatment. Modern infrastructure will help the development of medical tourism and the growth of tourist flow to St. Petersburg," said Alexander Beglov.

The project provides for an increase in the number of rooms and the volume of medical services provided, ensuring year-round utilization of the sanatorium complex, and developing the cultural function of the territory by restoring the historic Kurzala building, which was lost during the Great Patriotic War and was intended for cultural events for the sanatorium's vacationers and residents and guests of St. Petersburg.

The implementation of the project will contribute to the formation of a modern wellness cluster of federal importance on the basis of the sanatorium "Sestroretsky resort".

The sanatorium "Sestroretsky resort" was opened in June 1900. At various times, Maxim Gorky, Alexander Blok, Ilya Repin, Sergei Rachmaninov and other famous guests rested here. In 2021, the LSR Group became the owner of the Sestroretsk Resort.
