The first tramcars were delivered to the Slavyanka depot.
A tram depot under construction in the village of Shushary along the route Kupchino metro station – Shushary village – mkr. Slavyanka accepts the first ten wagons, which are delivered from the Nevsky Plant of Electric Transport named after A.F. Pirotsky, the production site of PK Transport Systems LLC in St. Petersburg. The delivery of the first batch of wagons is planned to be carried out within a week – all of them are intended for the operation of the first stage of the Slavyanka tram line – from Kupchino metro station to the tram depot.
The model of the three-section two-way carriage 71-932 Nevsky was selected for the Slavyanka line. Taking into account the length of the 27-meter carriage, the logistics of delivery required planning and a special approach. Each wagon is divided into two parts at the factory and transported by two specialized vehicles. The first part, consisting of two sections, is transported to the depot by one car, and the third section by the second.
Further into the depot, the process involves precisely docking the vehicle with a tram track that is not equipped with a contact network. After the car is installed along the track, the sections are lifted by two cranes on slings. Then the car is removed, and the sections are carefully lowered onto the rails. The final stage is the connection of the two parts of the car and its movement by a shunting device or independently on an autonomous course to the sediment path.
After delivery, the wagons will be thoroughly inspected and tested. Each car will undergo a state technical inspection. A compulsory civil liability insurance policy will be issued for each car. In parallel, drivers and repair personnel will be trained.
Before the line is put into operation, the final stage will be the mandatory running-in of each car without passengers, during which the transport must travel at least 50 kilometers along the line.
The launch of the Slavyanka tram line will be an important step in the development of urban transport and improving the quality of life of St. Petersburg residents. The project is implemented in compliance with all technical requirements and safety standards.
We remind you that a total of 22 wagons will be operated on the Slavyanka line, which have received a special design: a combination of orange and turquoise colors.
For reference:

The tram is adapted for people with disabilities. There is a button for calling the driver and a ramp for access to the salon. The total passenger capacity is 205 people.
