The exterior of the first two buildings in the year-round seaside resort "Saint Petersburg" has been approved.‑Petersburg Marina"

The city has approved the architectural appearance of the Sailing Academy, the first object of the St. Petersburg tourism cluster.‑Petersburg Marina" on the northern coast of the Gulf of Finland. Preparations for the construction of an all-season resort in Gorskaya are being carried out within the framework of the federal project "Five Seas and Lake Baikal".
"Another important step has been taken towards the implementation of one of our megaprojects. On behalf of the President, we are creating a year-round seaside resort "St. Petersburg‑Petersburg Marina". It is included in the program "Ten priorities for the development of St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg". Currently, the design of the transport and engineering infrastructure is in full swing, and the relevant urban planning documentation is being approved. The architects presented the first results of their work. "St. Petersburg‑Petersburg Marina"will make St. Petersburg the center of sailing in Russia, create new opportunities for outdoor activities and become a center of attraction in the north-west of the city," said Governor Alexander Beglov.
The Sailing Academy has two training buildings. The first one is called "Derrickboats and sailing yachts", its characteristic appearance will determine the architectural accent in the form of a lighthouse. There will be training halls, locker rooms and sports equipment storage areas. Public areas, study halls and administrative offices are planned in the Yacht Club building.
The facades of the two buildings will be decorated in accordance with the modern interpretation of "marine" architecture, with a predominance of "wood-like" materials and panoramic glazing. All design solutions take into account the location of the buildings directly on the seashore – this necessitates enhanced protection from humidity and sunlight.
There will be an outdoor area for ceremonies, yacht storage areas, running and cycling tracks, a walking area and parking spaces.
