    Saint‑St. Petersburg welcomes participants of the second module of the training program for the effective implementation of investment projects

    From July 23 to July 25, the Northern Capital hosts the second module of the educational program "Managerial Skills: Development of regional teams", organized by the Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

    To improve their managerial competencies in the field of investments in St. Petersburg‑Teams representing the regions of the North-Western Federal District gathered in St. Petersburg.

    St. Petersburg is represented by the Deputy Chairman of the Investment Committee of St. Petersburg‑Dmitry Kapitov, Deputy Director for Investment Project Support at the Investment Management Department of the Investment Committee, Inga Dostal, representatives of the State Order Committee of St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg, the Committee on Property Relations, Gosstroynadzor, the Committee on Construction, the Committee on Energy and Engineering, the Project Office of the Administration of the Governor of St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg, as well as the resource supply organizations and business associations of our city.

    On the first day of the training, Dmitry Kapitov spoke on the topic "Investment climate management system in the region" and shared the experience of St. Petersburg as a region with an effective system of measures to support entrepreneurs and investors.

    "In St. Petersburg, on behalf of Governor Alexander Beglov, a set of measures has been developed and is being implemented to support potential investors, including a wide range of tax, financial and non-financial instruments, including assigning a certain status to a socially significant project, for example, a strategic investment project. One of the important factors influencing the investment climate is a well-established system of legislation that defines the regime of investment activity. St. Petersburg has developed and updated a regulatory framework for successful and stable cooperation with entrepreneurs who wish to participate in the socio-economic development of our city," said Dmitry Kapitov.

    A key part of the first day's program was getting to know the business support infrastructure in St. Petersburg and visiting landmark investment sites. The participants visited the Center for the Development and Support of Entrepreneurship, the operator of the My Business Center in Saint Petersburg‑St. Petersburg, where experts spoke about comprehensive assistance to entrepreneurs on all issues of business creation and development.

    One of the most memorable moments was a visit to the New Holland public space. The transformation and adaptation to the modern use of the historical territory of the island of New Holland was implemented as part of a strategic investment project. During the acquaintance with the project, the listeners learned how New Holland managed to go from the territory of former warehouses to one of the most popular points of attraction for citizens and tourists.

    A visit to the Chapel, the center of creative industries in St. Petersburg, left no less vivid impressions. The program participants got acquainted with the creative innovative projects that Capella implements in collaboration with representatives of creative industries, cultural institutions, artistic, scientific and educational centers of St. Petersburg.

    As part of the field event, the participants of the training immersed themselves in the history of St. Petersburg‑We also practiced our team building skills.

    The three-day educational module covers the topics of the National Investment Climate Rating, the implementation of the regional investment standard, and the effectiveness of government feedback from the business community in the regions. Moreover, the students have the opportunity to expand their knowledge in the field of foreign trade, the practice of forming investment proposals, and anti-crisis strategies for priority investment projects. Special emphasis is placed on group project work.

    The sessions and practical workshops are conducted by experts from the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the NAAIR, the RANEPA, the Russian Export Center, the Public Organization Delovaya Rossiya, and the NGO Public Capital.

    The program "Managerial Skills: Development of regional teams" was developed on behalf of the President of Russia in order to create a comprehensive support system for new investment projects in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The first module of this year's program took place in Moscow on April 15-18.
