    The investor is reconstructing part of the premises of the Apraksin yard

    The decision to conclude an agreement with the investor on the reconstruction and adaptation for modern use of the building on the territory of Apraksin yard was approved today at a working meeting of the Governor with members of the city government.

    Within the boundaries of the site on Sadovaya Street, 28-30, building 37-38, there is an object of cultural heritage of regional significance - "Apraksin yard with the Mariinsky market (former Shchukin Yard)". The investor of KC "Peter" plans to carry out work on the restoration of part of the buildings of the oldest market in St. Petersburg.

    "The preservation and reconstruction of historical and cultural monuments is one of the most important tasks for St. Petersburg. It is important that investors also take part in its solution. The territory of the Apraksin yard needs renovation. Historically, the main function of this complex is trading, and the investor will keep it that way after the reconstruction of the building," Alexander Beglov stressed.

    The facades of the facility will be designed by the investor taking into account the historical architectural appearance of the Apraksin Courtyard.

    The duration of the work on the adaptation of the facility for modern use and the validity period of the agreement on the conduct of these works is 36 months.
