SPIEF 2025 will launch new investment projects aimed at increasing the pace of development and promoting the economic opportunities of St. Petersburg

The XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum has started in the Northern Capital today. The main theme of SPIEF 2025 is "Shared values are the foundation for growth in a multipolar world."
The image of modern St. Petersburg as a megalopolis of the 21st century and a global business center for the implementation of major infrastructure projects is presented at the stand of the Northern Capital within the framework of the exposition and business zone. Presentation materials, layouts and videos prepared by the St. Petersburg Investment Committee will tell the guests of SPIEF 2025 about the iconic facilities – already built and promising - that are important for improving the comfort of the urban environment and the quality of life of St. Petersburg residents.
The stand of our city is traditionally one of the most visited at the SPIEF. This year, St. Petersburg presents key transport projects to the forum participants, which are the drivers of the city's development. A touch panel depicting a high-speed highway and a mock-up of the second stage of Pulkovo Airport clearly demonstrate two megaprojects included in the program "10 Priorities for the Development of St. Petersburg" and implemented on behalf of the President of Russia on the development of the modern St. Petersburg transport complex.
Special attention is paid to the prospects for the development of light rail public transport – videos will tell about new lines under construction and planned. On interactive screens, forum guests can trace future tram routes in the Pushkin district from the village of Shushary to the satellite city of Yuzhny, ITMO Highpark, and the Nevsky Delta campus of St. Petersburg State University - these routes will soon provide the southern districts of St. Petersburg with modern tram traffic.
The video of the ACADEMIA boutique hotel chain will allow you to experience the unique atmosphere of St. Petersburg as the tourist capital of Russia. The best projects for the preservation, restoration, adaptation of cultural heritage sites and their integration into the tourism industry of St. Petersburg will be presented.
For four days, until June 21, SPIEF 2025 will traditionally serve as a platform for making decisions that determine the investment development of the regions for years to come. Within the framework of the forum, St. Petersburg will sign agreements aimed at achieving national development goals in priority sectors – transport and logistics, industrial, social, educational, tourism, and high technology. New agreements with investors are also planned in the field of healthcare and science. At SPIEF 2025, the foundations will be laid for concluding new concessions and public-private partnership agreements in St. Petersburg.
Last year, on the sidelines of the SPIEF, St. Petersburg signed 69 agreements worth 1 trillion 227 billion rubles, including almost 1 trillion 132 billion rubles attracted by agreements supported by the Investment Committee of St. Petersburg.
