An Orthodox chapel will be built in Krasnoselsky district.

At a working meeting between Governor Alexander Beglov and members of the city government, the targeted provision of land to the Orthodox local religious organization of St. Petersburg, the Parish of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Ligovo, in the Krasnoselsky district on Volunteer Street for the construction of a religious rites facility was approved.
It is planned to build a chapel in honor of St. Gabriel Urgebadze on a plot of 1,518 square meters. The chapel will be designed for 45 parishioners.
"In St. Petersburg, not only churches that were built long ago are being restored, but new ones are also being built. The chapel construction project is important for the spiritual life in Krasnoselsky district," said Alexander Beglov.
The project will be implemented through donations. The term of the contract for the gratuitous use of the land is 120 months.
