    The tram depot of the Slavyanka line is ready to receive the first wagons

    For an important infrastructure facility in St. Petersburg, the Slavyanka tram line, builders are completing the creation of a depot designed for the maintenance and repair of rolling stock, as well as the infrastructure of the future line.

    The depot complex has already built the main structures of buildings and structures, including the administrative, household and technological buildings, the buildings of operational services and two checkpoints. The modular building of CCI No. 6 has been installed, and the foundation of the boiler room has been laid. Internal engineering communications are being installed, work is underway to finish the depot premises, doors are being installed, and technological equipment is being installed in the production building.

    Permanent fencing has been created on the territory of the depot, contact network supports and a lighting system have been installed. The builders are completing the construction of the upper structure of the track, the installation of switches. Landscaping works are being completed. In the near future, the contractor will start laying communication networks for the line and tram traffic control system.

    "The Kupchino-Shushary-Slavyanka high–speed tram project supported by the President is one of the largest in Russia. Today, it is being implemented as part of one of the key priorities of the city until 2030 – "Convenient public transport," said Governor Alexander Beglov. – We are actively developing the transport network in the south of St. Petersburg. We are planning new tram lines in advance to ensure the accessibility of the two Technological Valleys under construction there. Relevant agreements with investors were signed at SPIEF 2025."

    Currently, the tram depot of the Slavyanka line is preparing for the delivery of the first ten wagons. In September, it is planned to create jobs for employees and accommodate staff.

    The planned launch of the first stage line from Kupchino metro station to the tram depot in the village of Shushary is scheduled for the end of this year. It is planned to fully put the Slavyanka line into operation in 2026.
