The restoration of two buildings of the Apraksin yard, leased by the city to an investor, continues.

Investor Lyudmila LLC continues to carry out work on the adaptation of buildings No. 37-38 of Apraksin Dvor to a retail facility.
Currently, St. Petersburg specialists have started an important stage – the installation of engineering networks. The underground floor is also being cleared and the exterior walls are being restored.
"Apraksin Yard has been a sore point of St. Petersburg for a long time. We are consistently returning this place to the city. Restoration work has begun here as part of one of the ten priorities of St. Petersburg's development, "Preservation of historical heritage and support for culture." This will allow the current generation of citizens to see Apraksin Dvor as an architectural monument and part of our cultural heritage," said Governor Alexander Beglov.
Earlier, in March-April 2026, the KGIOP was granted permits to carry out work on the complex adaptation of these two buildings, as well as a construction permit required due to changes in the building's parameters, including those related to the restoration of historical structures.
The project received a positive state expert opinion, approved on 12.03.2026.
The project will restore the passage, a central multi–light room between the buildings, as well as the roof and historical structures of light lanterns and stained glass windows on the side facades.
Lost fragments of facades and structures of the exterior metal gallery along the facades at the ground floor level will be recreated based on archival materials. The investor will carry out landscaping on the territory adjacent to the buildings.
There are 68 buildings on the territory of Apraksin Dvor, 51 of which are cultural heritage sites.
