The construction of the ITMO Highpark heating main will be completed by the end of the year.

Work on the construction of a heat and cold supply source has begun on the territory of the ITMO Highpark scientific, educational and innovative complex in the Pushkinsky district of St. Petersburg. Preparatory work on the organization of the site has been completed, the foundation of the future building has been filled in.
Work is also underway on the construction of a heating network and the construction of the first section has already been completed. Landscaping has already been carried out at the site of the excavation, which could have been seen back in the spring – a lawn has been created, pedestrian and bicycle paths have been laid, traffic signs and a ground transport stop have been installed, and high-quality Russian-made heating network communications have been laid underground. The heating system will be fully completed by the end of this year.
"We are building the ITMO University Scientific, educational and Innovation Center with a world-class campus on behalf of the President of Russia. The first of the four technological valleys of St. Petersburg will become an important platform for solving the task of achieving Russia's technological superiority set by the head of state," said Governor Alexander Beglov. – Communications are being laid at a high rate. ITMO-Highpark will give an impetus to the development of the satellite city of Yuzhny and the entire south of St. Petersburg."
Monolithic works are continuing on the blocks of the first and second buildings of the dormitories of the new ITMO University campus. In parallel with the casting of the monolith, the builders will perform waterproofing of the technical subfloors between the blocks, and metal structures on the roof are being installed on the completed blocks, as well as laying internal utilities leading to the buildings.
The ITMO Highpark road network is being actively created. The construction of the first stage of the internal road network of the territory of the future scientific, educational and innovative complex has already been completed. Almost two kilometers of the roadway with sidewalks and bike paths, as well as two temporary U-turn rings, have been implemented. Work will continue in 2026, with the construction of an abutment to the Kiev Highway, which will connect internal roads with the main road network of St. Petersburg.
At the same time, at the construction site of the first residential stage of the first stage of the Yuzhny satellite city, the core of which will be ITMO Highpark, excavation pits are already ready in three buildings, preparatory work is underway before pouring foundation slabs, and excavation pits are being developed for seven more buildings. There are ten residential buildings ranging from five to ten floors in the queue. The ground floor is completely devoted to commercial, leisure and social infrastructure. A department of general practitioners will be located in one of the buildings. 390 square meters have been designed for it. meters. Yuzhny residents will have a unique opportunity not only to study near home at one of the best technical universities in the country, but also to use the campus infrastructure — for example, a sports complex equipped for practicing a wide range of sports.
Recall that in July 2025 GBU "Energy Saving Center" and OOO "Vodokanal Yuzhny" signed an agreement on cooperation in the construction of engineering infrastructure of the satellite city of Yuzhny. The companies will introduce the latest import-substituted technologies into the project.
For reference:
The total area of the ITMO Highpark is almost 90 hectares. At SPIEF 2025, St. Petersburg signed a trilateral agreement with Sberbank and the National Project Construction Company on the construction of a high-speed tram line that will connect ITMO Highpark and the satellite city of Yuzhny with the existing stations of the St. Petersburg metro.
