SPIEF 2026 will create new opportunities for investment development of St. Petersburg in priority areas

The XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum kicked off in the Northern Capital today. The main theme of SPIEF 2026 is "Pragmatic Dialogue: the path to a stable future."
The St. Petersburg Regional business program for SPIEF 2026 includes 20 events and is built around key growth points: attracting investments in fixed assets, ensuring technological sovereignty and leadership, developing industry and the transport and logistics sector, and ensuring the sustainability of the urban economy.
The image of St. Petersburg as a dynamically developing metropolis of the 21st century in accordance with the "10 Priorities" program is presented at the stand of the Northern Capital within the framework of the exposition and business zone. The key theme of the city's exposition this year is "St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg is the capital of marine and unmanned technologies: advanced industry and investments." The chosen accents reflect the special role and potential of our city in achieving national development goals.
The St. Petersburg Investment Committee has prepared presentation materials that will tell visitors to the city's stand about the implementation of major infrastructure projects. Unique models of the bridge have been created especially for SPIEF 2026 as part of the Latitudinal Highway of high-speed traffic and the socio-cultural space that will be formed as a result of the adaptation of the Kresty solitary confinement complex for modern use. A special place is occupied by the model of the Sailing Academy, the first facility in the St. Petersburg Marina tourist cluster in Gorskaya.
Guests of the St. Petersburg stand will also get acquainted with already built and promising facilities that are important for improving the comfort of the urban environment and the quality of life of St. Petersburg residents. Among them are the Western High–Speed Diameter, Pulkovo Airport, the Chizhik and Slavyanka tram lines, secondary schools built under concession agreements in different parts of the city, and the ITMO Highpark, a world-class scientific, educational and innovation center with a Technology Valley being created in the Pushkin District.
On the interactive touch panel, you can trace the planned route of the continuation of the Slavyanka tram line to the Tsarskoye Selo railway station and further to the St. Petersburg State University campus and the Nevsky Delta Shopping Center.
For four days, until June 6, SPIEF will traditionally become the main platform for establishing business contacts with investors and concluding major investment agreements in key industries. New agreements are planned in the transport and logistics, industrial, social, educational, tourism, sports, innovation and high technology sectors, as well as in the field of restoration and adaptation of cultural heritage sites. A busy business agenda of negotiations and signings at the Forum will lay the foundations for future concessions and public-private partnership agreements, which will give impetus to the development of the region for years to come.
