The draft layout of the Latitudinal Highway interchange has been approved

At a working meeting of the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, with members of the city government, a planning project was approved with a project for surveying the territory of the Latitudinal highway high-speed traffic interchange with pr. Construction on the section from Krzhizhanovsky St. to Khasanskaya St. with the construction of an overpass over the railway tracks.
The object is an overpass over railway tracks that provides a connection between the Krasnogvardeysky and Nevsky districts of St. Petersburg, with connection to the Latitudinal Highway of high-speed traffic towards the Ring Road.
The total length of the facility is 966 meters. Traffic at the interchange will be organized at an estimated speed of 60 km/h. The width of the lanes is projected in the range from 3.50 to 3.75 meters. The number of lanes on the Mentors Avenue –Solidarity Avenue section will range from four to six in two directions, with exits having one lane each.
An important element of the project is the construction of an overpass that will provide an intersection with the main course of the Latitudinal High-speed Highway and the railway tracks of the Dolgorukov Dacha station, completely eliminating the intersection of transport and railway flows at the same level.
According to the data of transport and economic surveys, the projected traffic intensity in the sections of the projected breakdown for the year of commissioning will be up to 8,950 vehicles per day in each direction.
In total, seven transport interchanges are planned to be built at the intersection with the road network within the 2-4 stages of the Latitudinal Highway, including four within the framework of the concession and three outside the concession agreement.
