The design documentation for the construction of the SCHMSD transport interchange has been agreed upon

At a working meeting of the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, with members of the city government, a planning project was approved today with a land surveying project for the location of a high-speed Latitudinal highway interchange from Kommuny Street in the section from Krzhizhanovsky Street to Lenskaya Street with the construction of an overpass through the railway tracks.
"The latitudinal highway of high–speed traffic is our megaproject. At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, we launched the most difficult stages – from the second to the fourth. A drawbridge across the Neva River and several major interchanges will be built. One of them is at the junction of the Krasnogvardeisky and Nevsky districts of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region," Alexander Beglov recalled.
The documentation on the layout of the territory was prepared by order of JSC "ZSD". The construction of the interchange will improve the main transport infrastructure, provide transport and pedestrian connections between the Nevsky and Krasnogvardeisky districts of the city, as well as exits to the Latitudinal Highway.
The project is planned to be implemented in two stages, the first of which includes new construction on the section from the intersection of Kollontai St., Krzhizhanovsky St., Lopatin St. to the transport hub at the intersection of Commune St. and Lenskaya St. On this section, the street intersects the railway tracks and passes under the main course of the Latitudinal Expressway. At the second stage, it is planned to build the exits of the transport interchange and connect the Latitudinal highway of high–speed traffic to the streets of the Commune - Kollontai.
As part of the project, extensions of Kollontai and Commune streets, a transport interchange at the intersection with Kollontai Street, as well as a new overpass will be built. The total length of Kommuny Street in the section from Krzhizhanovsky Street to Lenskaya Street will be 1,644 km, and the overpass will be 0.493 km.
In addition, buildings and structures will be erected to ensure the drainage of sewage and the supply of electricity.
In total, seven transport interchanges will be built at the intersection with the road network as part of the Latitudinal Highway project.
In accordance with the Master Plan of St. Petersburg, the Latitudinal high-speed highway with a bridge over the Neva River will become one of the main links in the framework of urban high-speed and continuous traffic highways along with the Ring Road and the WSD.
