The economic activity investment barometer was introduced in St.Petersburg

«Investment Management» St. Petersburg State Budget Institution took part in a round table on the topic: «International business: foreign companies contribution to the Russian economy», organized by «Kommersant» Publishing House.

Representatives of large business, public organizations and authorities of both St. Petersburg’s and the Leningrad Region discussed the state regulation of the investment process, effective interaction between government and business in the regions as well as the international business role in the Russian economy within the current event.

Dmitry Slashchev, Acting Deputy Director of «Investment Management» St. Petersburg State Budget Institution spoke about the activities of «The One-Stop-Shop front office» for investors in the existing state support measures system of St. Petersburg, as well as work on the investment projects implementation improvement.

The discussion experts paid a special attention to the international companies’ changing development potential in the Russian Federation. Maria Chernobrovkina, Executive Director of St. Petersburg department of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, introduced a joint survey of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia and KPMG «Business’ economic activity and prospects barometer in the Russian Federation», according to which foreign business is not going to leave the Russian Federation market and expects to get 5 -10% growth in its revenue in the next 1-3 years.
