SPIEF 2025: A tram route to the Nevsky Delta Shopping Center will be built in St. Petersburg

On June 19, 2025, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an agreement of intent was signed between St. Petersburg and ABZ-Dorstroy JSC, part of the ABZ-1 group of companies, to create and operate a tram line along the Slavyanka – Tsarskoye Selo Railway Station – St. Petersburg State University Campus – Innovative Scientific-Nevsky Delta Technology Center.
The document was signed by Nikolay Linchenko, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg, and Vladimir Kalinin, head of the ABZ-1 Group of companies.
The tram line construction project along the specified route is the most rational solution for the development of public transport in the Slavyanka microdistrict, the Detskoselsky built-up area. This route will continue the tram line Kupchino metro station – Shushary settlement – Slavyanka microdistrict, which is being built as part of the concession agreement, and will fully comply with the route laid out in the Master Plan of St. Petersburg.
The implementation of the project will make it possible to organize transport links between the St. Petersburg State University campus and the innovative scientific and technological center Nevsky Delta, direct connection of the Slavyanka microdistrict with the St. Petersburg metro, as well as the connection of residential buildings with the Tsarskoye Selo and Detskoselskaya railway stations, create prospects for the formation of connections between the cities of Pushkin and Kolpino, develop a fast, modern and comfortable tram network in the southern districts of St. Petersburg.
