    DOM.RF summed up the results of the auction for the sale of a historic building of the early twentieth century in the center of St. Petersburg

    The winner of the HOUSE auction has been determined.Russian Federation for the sale of an object of cultural heritage of federal significance "House of the Second Mutual Credit Society with outbuildings" (as part of the lot — a building with an area of 4.4 thousand square meters. m and a plot of 0.17 hectares under it) in the center of St. Petersburg.  The purchase and sale agreement will be concluded with the local company "League". The property is suitable for commercial use.

    The lot was sold at an initial price of 500.57 million rubles.

    The building is located at 34 Sadovaya Street, lit. a. The house was built in 1907-1909 according to the design of the famous architect Fyodor Lidval. After its construction, it was used by the Second Mutual Credit Society (a non-governmental credit organization). During the First World War, the building was occupied by the All-Russian Society for Assistance to Prisoners of War. During the NEP years, the facility was briefly restored to its original function: the Commercial and Industrial Mutual Credit Society was located here. From 1932 to the 1980s, Gosproektstroy, the timber export training plant, the Gosstroy Design Institute and the construction and installation trust were located at this address. In the 1990s, a branch of the Baltic Bank was located here (closed in 2019). Then the house housed several shops. The building has been renovated and is in good condition. High-quality materials were used during the work.

    The house was included in the register of cultural heritage sites of federal significance in 2017. The security obligation was approved in 2019. The winner of the auction will be obliged to carry out work on the preservation of the object, as well as comply with the requirements for its maintenance and use in accordance with the procedure established by law.
