    Vice Governor Nikolay Linchenko inspected the construction of the Slavyanka tram line

    Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Nikolay Linchenko paid a working visit to the construction sites of the tram line along the route Kupchino metro station - Shushary village – MKR. Slavyanka." The event was attended by representatives of the concessionaire company and the general contractor carrying out the construction of the tram line.
    During his working visit, Nikolay Linchenko inspected the construction of the first stage of the Slavyanka tram line and got acquainted with the current status of work on the creation of three road network facilities in the village of Shushary, which are interfaced with tram tracks.: Starorussky Prospekt, Novgorodsky Prospekt from Pushkinskaya St. to Shusharskaya Road and Novgorodsky Prospekt from Vilerovsky Lane to Pushkinskaya St.
    "The construction of the Slavyanka tram line is being implemented under a concession agreement and is one of the most important infrastructure projects in St. Petersburg.‑St. Petersburg. The launch of the line meets the modern needs of our city and will provide the southern regions with fast and comfortable tram traffic. Moreover, in the future, the Slavyanka line will be extended to the planned St. Petersburg State University Campus and the Nevsky Delta Scientific and Technical Center. Providing the actively developing territories of the city with convenient public transport is one of the key priorities in the work of the Government of St. Petersburg.‑St. Petersburg," Nikolai Linchenko said.
    The main focus of the inspection was on the progress of the construction of the final stop on Balkan Square, the overpass of the first stage of the line, the depot, as well as the reconstruction of the road network.
    Work continues on the creation of the "tram station": facades, roofs and internal communications of the administrative building of the final stop "Balkansky" are being installed, metal structures of the canopy are being installed and a rail sleeper grid is being laid on the square near the Kupchino metro station.
    The installation of metal structures has been completed on the overpass through the Moskovskoye Highway, the railway tracks of the Southern Railway Semicircle of the Oktyabrskaya Railway and the Ring Road, the plate of the carriageway has been built, work has begun on metal painting and the installation of barrier fencing, it is planned to begin construction of the upper structure of the track and the installation of contact network supports.
    In the village of Shushary on Novgorodsky Prospekt, from Starorussky Ave. to Shusharskaya Road, work has already been carried out on the construction of the upper structure of the track, the assembly of a sleeper rail with the subsequent installation of contact network supports.
    As a result of the inspection, a high degree of readiness of the tram depot was noted - a complex of buildings and structures designed for the maintenance and repair of rolling stock, as well as the infrastructure of the tram line. The interior decoration of the administrative building is currently being completed at the depot. In September, it is planned to create jobs for employees and accommodate staff. In parallel, the installation of equipment for the maintenance of trams in the production building is underway. The installation of the upper structure of the track, including the installation of switches, is also coming to an end. Contact network poles and lighting are installed throughout the depot. In the near future, the contractor will start laying communication networks for the line and tram traffic control system. The landscaping works have been partially completed. The depot is preparing for the delivery of the first ten tram cars.
    The planned launch of the first stage line, from Kupchino metro station to the tram depot in the village of Shushary, is scheduled for the end of this year. It is planned to fully put the Slavyanka line into operation in 2026.
