    The investor will launch the third phase of the Solopharm pharmaceutical plant in Krasnogvardeisky district

    The Government of St. Petersburg approved the lease of a land plot to the Grotex LLC for the construction of the third phase of the Solopharm plant for the development and production of liquid dosage forms replacing imported drugs.

    Plot with a total area of 25.5 thousand sq. meters is located in the Krasnogvardeisky district at the address:  Marshal Blucher Prospekt, plot 49. The term for the facility construction and the validity of the land plot lease agreement on investment conditions is 60 months.  

    "The investment project consists of several stages in adjacent plots in the Krasnogvardeisky district. The first plant has already been operating in this territory since 2013, the second phase is at the design stage, – said Roman Golovanov, Chairman of the Investment Committee of St. Petersburg. – Expansion of pharmaceutical production will increase significantly the level of provision of the population of St. Petersburg and Russia with medicines. In 2020, the company was included in the list of backbone ones, which also indicates its significant impact on the economic development of the region.

    By Decree of the Government of St. Petersburg No. 1224 dated December 30, 2015, the investment project "Creation of a plant for the production of liquid medicines" was recognized as a strategic investment project of St. Petersburg, and Grotex LLC as a strategic investor of St. Petersburg.

    The project has been implemented and is successfully operating in accordance with the state policy of the Russian Federation in the field of the pharmaceutical industry development, with the aim of import substitution of the most important drugs and with the aim of developing domestic scientific potential. To date, Solopharm is developing more than 50 drugs in the field of ophthalmology, pulmonology, otolaryngology and cosmetology.
