    The volume of investments in fixed capital for the first half of 2026 amounted to 635.5 billion rubles.

    According to operational data from Petrostat, the key sectors of St. Petersburg’s economy demonstrated a steady positive trend in January–July 2026.
    The volume of investments in fixed capital for the first half of 2026 amounted to 635.5 billion rubles, compared to 602 billion rubles a year earlier. In the structure of investments, the largest share is accounted for by machinery and equipment (44.6%), buildings (excluding residential ones) and structures (30.9%). Investments in residential buildings and premises account for 12.4% of the total volume, with 9.1% allocated to intellectual property assets.
    Capital investments in transportation and storage increased by 30.9% — to 181.1 billion rubles. A number of manufacturing industries are also demonstrating high growth rates: investments in the production of motor vehicles increased 3.5‑fold, in other vehicles — 2.6‑fold, and in medicines — by 34.3%.
    “Within the framework of the priority ‘Advanced industry and the development of entrepreneurship: “ we continue to modernize infrastructure and implement large‑scale projects with state participation. The logistics complex has become the leader in terms of investment volume. Business sees the city’s prospects and continues to invest in the development of industries, transport and technologies,” said Governor Alexander Beglov.
