    St. Petersburg was awarded at the Eastern Economic Forum as one of the national leaders in terms of investment climate growth.

    At the 11th Eastern Economic Forum, St. Petersburg was awarded the “Growth Leaders” diploma for the state of the investment climate in 2026. The award was presented for its contribution to improving business conditions and maintaining steady positive dynamics.
    “This is the result of systematic work by the entire city team and businesses. We are consistently implementing the tools of the Regional Investment Standard, moving services for entrepreneurs to a digital format, and synchronizing the education system with the needs of the real sector of the economy,” Governor Alexander Beglov emphasized. “Today, St. Petersburg is consistently proving its attractiveness for investment.” We have implemented and are implementing landmark projects that are changing the urban environment, transport accessibility, and the quality of life. Within the framework of the regional priority “Advanced Industry and Entrepreneurship Development,” we will continue to create conditions that will provide businesses with growth opportunities and citizens with new jobs and high‑quality services.
    The Northern Capital has a well‑developed business support infrastructure. Almost the entire system of services for investors is available online through the official Investment Portal of St. Petersburg, and support for investment projects at all stages — from the initial idea to the commissioning of the facility — is provided through a “single window.”
    Today, with the involvement of private capital, megaprojects of a high-speed highway with a new bridge over the Neva River and the all-season resort of St. Petersburg are being implemented.‑Petersburg Marina" in Gorskaya, the second stage of Pulkovo airport. With the participation of investors, tram traffic is developing, Technological valleys are being created, restoration and adaptation to the modern use of iconic cultural heritage sites for the city – the complexes "New Holland", "Stable Department", "Crosses" and others.
    Among the landmark investment projects that have already been implemented and have become part of the modern infrastructure of the Northern capital are the Western High‑Speed Diameter, the world’s largest ice stadium, SKA Arena, and the concessionary tram network Chizhik.
    It should be recalled that in the National Ranking of the Investment Climate of the Subjects of the Russian Federation, presented at SPIEF‑2026, St. Petersburg entered the top three and was among the regions with the highest growth dynamics across all indicators.
