The second toll highway of St. Petersburg is waiting for the concessionaire in the new year

The Kommersant media house has prepared a special supplement on the development of transport infrastructure in St. Petersburg, including a large project for the creation of the Latitudinal highway of high-speed traffic (LHHST).

The projected route with a total length of 27.4 km will begin near the Western High-Speed Diameter (WHSD) in Blagodatnaya Street and run inside the industrial belt along the territory of Krasnogvardeisky, Nevsky, Frunzensky, Moskovsky districts, as well as on the territory of Vsevolozhsky District of the Leningrad Region with a crossing over the Neva near the existing railway bridge in Nevsky District.

According to the media house experts, the development of the road network in St. Petersburg is necessary, and large infrastructure projects have a multiplier effect. Thus, the LHHST in the south will open up prospects for the emergence of new buildings, provide a partial bypass of the center, an outbound route to the east and an additional crossing over the Neva.
