St. Petersburg Book Festival "Revision" on New Holland Island

From September 5th to 8th on the New Holland Island will be held the second St. Petersburg International Book Festival “Revision”. “Revision” is a fair of intellectual literature and a big celebration with an extensive program of events. The event is organized as part of the project "New Holland: cultural urbanization."

This year, the fair of intellectual and children's literature of large and independent publishers will be held in the courtyard of the “Butylka” building, and a simultaneous educational activities will be held at different venues on the island. Key «Revision» events list includes «Sorokin trip» - the first documentary premiere about Vladimir Sorokin, including such authors participation as Anton Zhelnov and Yuri Saprykin, as well as Luc Boltanski’s, the leading French sociologist’ speech «Reality against reality: political metaphysics research of the twentieth century» and Yuri Slezkin’s discussion with Boris Kupriyanov, dedicated to the «Government House» intellectual bestseller.

Besides, the festival’s extensive program includes round tables, lectures, poetry panels, book presentations, meetings with authors, a discussions series at «Liquor store» and daily film screenings on the big stage, including Russian and St. Petersburg premieres. The second «Petersburg Text» books series, uniting Petersburg authors in various genres, creating the city mythology in the 20th century, was printed especially for the festival.

New Holland-based investment development project provides public-business multifunctional complex creation with the exhibition areas and engineering infrastructure. The project budget is over 12 billion rubles. St. Petersburg industrial architecture unique monument is going to be completely restored until 2025.
