«Lakhta Center» embankment improvement will be completed within three years

St. Petersburg government approved the land area transfer to the Social Initiatives Support Fund of Gazprom of ​​over 11 thousand meters on the southern and eastern «Lakhta Center» embankments for further improvement.

«The shore protection of the southern and eastern embankments near of the Lakhta Center will be carried out by the end of 2020 within the first project phase», Roman Golovanov, investment committee chairman said. «The object will be built within three years and then transferred to the Petersburg ownership after the embankment commissioning».

The improvement project provides the multifunctional complex «Lakhta Center» road network elements placement on the southern and eastern embankments: pedestrian sidewalks and paths, devices that provide vertical communications of pedestrian zones, street lighting equipment.

The investment project for the «Lakhta Center» multifunctional complex southern and eastern embankments improvement is being implemented on the cooperation agreement basis between St. Petersburg and PJSC «Gazprom» in 2019-2021.
