Requests acceptance results for Saint Petersburg Sports and Concert Complex reconstruction competition

The requests acceptance results for participation in an open tender for the right to sign a concession agreement on Saint Petersburg Sports and Concert Complex reconstruction and operation project were provided on November 20, 2019.

The tender commission announced the only request for participation in the tender, provided by «SKA-Arena» LLC.

Thus, according to the procedure, established by еру law, the Investment Committee will have to evaluate the potential investor’s proposal and make a decision relatively to the degree preparation on the concession agreement signing.

Roman Golovanov, St. Petersburg Investment Committee’s Chairman, noted that Saint Petersburg Sports and Concert Complex reconstruction project will be implemented according to the public-private partnership scheme. The tender documentation terms set the agreement object creation deadline - May 1, 2023. The funding, provided by the city, will be no more than 10 billion rubles.

An open tender for the right to sign a concession agreement on Saint Petersburg Sports and Concert Complex reconstruction and operation project was announced on October 3, 2019.

The project involves multifunctional sports and cultural complex creation, equipped with an ice arena, meeting the modern construction technologies standards, in Moskovsky district of St. Petersburg. Its capacity is over 20 000 spectators in the main arena and at least 300 spectators in the small arena. The recreation park, equipped with a modern game complex, will be created in the territory, adjacent to the sports complex, intended for mass events and various outdoor sports, with the opportunity to use the playgrounds all year round.

The new modern sports complex will meet the high international requirements of the Continental Hockey League and the International Ice Hockey Federation for facilities to hold the world championships. The World Hockey Championship in 2023 will become the first major sports event in the new arena.
