The committee on investments will update project documentation of the easily rail tram to the Pulkovo airport
The committee on investments staticizes project documentation according to the project of start of the LRT line from the Pulkovo airport, developed in 2011.
- Need of start of the LRT line from "Pulkovo" to station of the subway is caused by constantly growing passenger traffic which makes now 17 million people a year, and by 2039 will reach 35 million, - the chairman of Committee on investments Irina Babyuk makes comments. - The term of implementation of the project – till 2018 when the transport infrastructure will receive additional loading in connection with carrying out in St. Petersburg of matches of the FIFA World Cup.
We will remind, earlier it was planned that this high-speed tram road will pass from the Pulkovo airport to the Moscow station, however the decision to carry out the line only to Kupchino metro station is made now.
According to available project documentation, the easily rail tram will go through seven stops. From the LRT airport will go in the direction of Pulkovskoye Highway where there will be the second stop, further the structure will stop on Sheremetyevskaya Street, then on 5th Predportovy Drive, at Zvezdnaya metro station, on Kosmonavtov Avenue, and the Kupchino metro station becomes a terminal point.
The general extent of the line of an easily rail will make about 11 km. The tram consisting of two cars, will move on the line with a speed of 50 km/h, trip time from the Pulkovo airport to Kupchino's station won't exceed 20 minutes.
According to Irina Babyuk, the project is planned to realize with involvement of the investor on the basis of state-private partnership. On construction of a branch about three years then the investor will acquire the right for object operation is required in total. After investments of private business will pay off, the LRT line will pass into city property. The term during which the object will be in management of the concessionaire, will depend on a passenger traffic, the cost of the project, the volume of investment and other factors. Earlier the Committee on investments calculated financial model of the project. The total cost of construction of the LRT line in the base prices of 2013 will make about 15,3 billion rubles.
