China and St. Petersburg discussed cooperation in the investment, tourism and culture field

Chinese Communist Party delegation from Hainan visited Smolny on the session inauguration of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization UNWTO.

Oleg Markov, Vice Governor and Mr. Li Jun, Deputy Secretary General of the Party Committee of the Chinese Communist Party of Hainan, discussed the mutual cooperation prospects. The tourism, education, culture and investment areas, in particular, in the hotels construction, contain the mutual interest.

The Vice Governor paid a special Chinese guests’ attention to the medical, cruise tourism segments development in St. Petersburg, as well an opportunity to open the Russian Language Center on Hainan Island.

The Parties agreed to create a working group for a detailed cooperation development directions study between the two countries.
