SAINT PETERSBURG PRESENTS ITS INVESTMENT POTENTIAL AT THE BIG 20 SUMMIT

During the Big Twenty summit meeting, an image exposition of St Petersburg, prepared by the Investments Committee, was held in the exhibition pavilion on the premises of the Constantine Palace. The stand was made for promoting the city’s potential among the foreign public and business communities. St Petersburg is presented here as a city open to cooperation and prepared to progress with the rest of the world.

“The concept of the stand is based on the idea that St Petersburg is more than just a city. This is a unique metropolis bringing together rich historical and cultural traditions as well as ample opportunities for further progress. The city attracts representatives of business communities and creative arts as well as tourists from across the world,” said Irina Babyuk, chairman of the Investments Committee.

The stand displays two principal information modules: the first one deals with the city’s investment potential, while the second presents St Petersburg as a major cultural and tourist centre.

The video footage of the exposition shows major investment projects in various fields that have been implemented in recent years. Those include creation of an auto cluster, development of transport and logistic infrastructure, and manufacture of new assets in the culture segment. Such projects illustrate the thesis that St Petersburg is a city of great opportunities and comfortable conditions for business, which is why it attracts investors from all over the world. Contributing to this is both the transparent investment policy of the St Petersburg administration and the city’s advantageous geopolitical position combined with a sophisticated transit transport complex, ample human resources and high intellectual capability.

“We believe that presentation of St Petersburg as an open and comfortable city pleasing for life and favorable for business will, in the end, bear fruit in different areas, including attraction of foreign investments,” summed up Irina Babyuk.
